Mr R F Kilsby - career details

 1      Joined Northamptonshire County Council in January, 1957 as an articled pupil to the County Planning Officer, gained the Diploma in Town Planning from Nottingham in 1963, and was elected as a Member and then Fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 1964 and 1971 respectively
2.  Subsequent posts in local government were as follows:- 
1960 to 1962            Planning Assistant at Derbyshire County Council                  (Headquarters Development Control Policy Section)
1962 to 1967 Area Planning Officer at Oxfordshire County Council.
1967 to 1971Area Planning Officer at Warwickshire County Council
3.   Following the 1971 move to the then W. R. Davidge and Partners (a multi-disciplinary practice then based in Westminster) as a Senior Planner, the principal subsequent “milestones” were:-
a)Appointment as Equity Partner in 1974
b)  Became head of the planning consultancy division in 1980
c)  Being responsible for the re-location of that division to Peterborough in 1984
 d)   Being invited (and subsequently appointed) by the then Secretary of State for the Environment to be one of only two private sector planning consultants on the advisory Panel contributing to and assisting the then Mr. Robert Carnwath QC in the preparation of his Report upon review of the planning enforcement procedures
 e) The dissolution of that Partnership in 1992
4.Arising from item (e) above, the whole of the on-going planning consultancy experience, reputation and expertise of the former Partnership now continues in un-changed form under the current W. R. Davidge Planning Practice trading title
5.2005Arising from the merger with Wilks Head & Eve,  Mr. R. F. Kilsby now acts not only as Principal of The W. R. Davidge Planning Practice, but as Consultant to Wilks Head and Eve, Chartered Surveyors
